RESULTS
Aldo Santos (Dragon Lair) vs. Dawson Walton (Maine)
Aldo throws a quick kick, and they clinch in the ropes. Aldo lands a throw, but Dawson rolls through, and ends up side mounting Aldo. After about 15 seconds, Aldo rolls Dawson, and starts to pound away. Aldo is standing up throwing punch after punch at the helpless Dawson Walton, who is on his back. Dawson has no answer for Aldo’s punches, and taps out after a few very hard shots.
Winner: Aldo Santos-submission from strikes

Jim Clifford (South Shore Sport Fighting) vs. Wayne Beveridge (Team Assassins)
Clifford gets a take down right away, and is working to pass. They scramble back to their feet, and Wayne gets on top of Jim. Jim locks a tight triangle that Wayne tries to slam his way out of. After 2 slam attempts (I thought slams were illegal in MA?) Wayne is forced to tap out from the triangle.
Winner: Jim Clifford-Triangle choke

Joe Karta (Dog Pound) vs. Kier Beveridge (Team Assassins)
Both are winging shots from the opening bell. They are throwing so wild and so frequent that I can’t tell who, if anyone is landing shots. Kier is clearly smaller, but looks a bit stronger. They throw a few more haymakers, they circle the ring about 8 times with little action. Kier rushes Joe, and drops him with a shot that looks to land on the ear, and the fight is stopped.
Winner: Kier Beveridge-TKO

Anatoliy Yashcenok (Fabrikant) vs. Lance Everson (Boneyard)
The fight starts with a very good leg kick from Lance. Anatoliy shoots, but Lance sprawls, and scrambles to side mount. Lance knees to the side, and mounts. Anatoliy keeps Lance very tight, and as Lance gets some space, and starts to land some punches, Anatoliy attempts to roll Lance, but ends up putting Lance back into side mount as the round ends.
Round 2-Anatoliy shoots, Lance sprawls, and ends up in Anatoliy’s guard. Lance pounds a little from guard, but is being kept close, so he can’t land much. After about 3 minutes of this, they are stood up. A big leg kick from Lance almost drops him! Lance then takes him down into half guard with about 15 seconds left, and that’s how the fight ends.
Winner: Lance Everson-UD

Eric Larson (Murphy’s Kickboxing) vs. Cesario De Souza (Dragon Lair)
Cesario looks crazy as he enters the ring. They clinch up, and Cesario lands a beautiful outside trip into mount. He lands a few clean punches, and Larson rolls him. Cesario goes for an armbar, but Larson slams his way out. Both are working hard. Cesario looks to be going for a triangle, while Larson punches away. Cesario ends up getting the triangle, and locks it tight for the submission.
Winner: Cesario De Souza-triangle choke

Josh Diekman (strike zone) vs. Joe Gomes (Team Assassins)
Diekman is ripped, and Gomes is not. As the fight starts, Josh throws a 12 punch flurry that drops Gomes, then throws 32 more punches while they are on the mat. Almost all the punches that are throw land in some form or another. The last 10 or so are from full mount, and the referee finally pulls Diekman off of Gomes, and stops the fight at only 24 seconds. I don’t think I have ever seen a heavyweight throw 44 punches in 24 seconds before.
Winner: Josh Diekman-TKO

Jason Dublin (Close Range) vs. Justin Schulman (Boston BJJ)
Justin shoots, but ends up on his back briefly. They get back to their feet, and Dublin throws a few punches that don’t really land. Justin has double under hooks, and holds the body lock for about 3 minutes. He has Dublin against the ropes, but isn’t attempting anything, but a few weak throws. As the round ends, Dublin escapes the viscous body lock, and lands a few punches.
Round 2-Schulman pulls guard, and holds on tight for a while. He attempts a triangle, but doesn’t really come close. He almost gets a sweep, but ends up mounted. He is holding on tight, and Dublin can’t get enough space to land anything serious. As Dublin gets a really high mount and starts to bang him a little, Justin goes for a foot lock, and escapes to guard. They stay like this until the round ends.
Winner: Jason Dublin-UD
*****
Sam Costigan (Dog Pound) vs. Jason Giroux (Santos)
Jason gets a quick take down into half guard, but mounts pretty quickly. They are both throwing punches, and Costigan almost escapes, but eats a few more punches for his effort. I’m not sure what Costigan is doing. He has his knees bent resting against the back of Jason, and has his feet off the mat. He’s making no attempt to escape, and is just covering up. The referee mercifully stops the fight.
Winner: Jason Giroux-TKO

Title Fight
Mandela “Delicious” Kponou (Dragon Lair) vs. John Howard (BMAC)
Howard clinches up, and pushes Mandela into the corner. Mandela takes Howard down, and is landing some very hard punches. He mounts Howard, and sits up and does the whole “executioner thumb across the throat” thing, signaling it’s almost over, and starts to throw bombs, but Howard escapes to his feet. Mandela lands a good throw, and again mounts. After a few punches Howard turtles, but instead of going for the choke, Mandela goes for an armbar, and almost gets it. Howard ends up in Mandela’s guard, and Mandela slaps on a tight triangle. It looks to be just about over, and Mandela, for some reason, switches to omo plata. Howard escapes, but is getting hit very hard while he’s on his back. Mandela throws a few punches, talks to the crowd, and then throws a few more punches. I’m not sure why he’s clowning around as much as he is. The round ends as Mandela lands a few more hard shots. Howard lost a tooth before the round ended.
Round 2-Howard shoots, and gets into Mandela’s guard. Mandela sweeps him, and mounts him again. Howard escapes yet again, and Mandela is pounding the down Howard. He mounts him again, and starts to pound him. Howard rolls him, and throws a couple punches that don’t land and drops back for a foot lock. He doesn’t look to have it, and Mandela is rolling to escape. As it looks like he’s getting out, Mandela taps out from a heel hook, and the crowd is stunned!
Winner:-John Howard-Heel Hook

Title Fight
Matt Lee (Team Elite) vs. Kyel McDouggall (Team Irish)
A good leg kick from Kyel opens the fight up. He’s now landing some good knees from the clinch. He’s staying really busy, and not allowing Matt to get settled enough to land anything. He has Matt against the ropes, and continues to land knees to the thigh. As they release the clinch, Kyle lands more good leg kick, and Matt lands a few punches. After a brief scramble, Kyle gets on top of Matt. Matt rolls him, and passes to side mount, but Kyel quickly puts him back into his guard. Both are throwing punches as the round ends.
Round 2-Both come out swinging, and clinch up. They both land some knees, and Matt gets a take down into the guard. There is almost no action for about 4 minutes, and they are stood up as the round ends.
Round 3-Both throw a ton of punches to open the round. Kyel is busier, but Matt is landing the better shots. A nice outside trip from Matt puts him in Kyel’s guard. Kyel is looking for a sweep, but can’t get it. Both are landing some pitter patter. They are stood up for lack of action. They both are banging each other in the center of the ring. Kyel seems to want it more, as he’s moving forward, and throwing more shots, but Matt is a more skilled striker, and is landing the cleaner punches as the time expires.
Winner-Matt Lee-UD

Marcelo Virla (Mass Fight Club) vs. Mike Dexter (Strikezone)
There is a leg kick by Marcelo, and Dexter shoots, and gets the takedown. Dexter passes to half guard, then to full mount. This is the point I start to fear for the health of Virla, as Dexter hits way too hard. About 7 or 8 huge shots later, the fight is stopped.
Winner: Mike Dexter-TKO
