Josh Greeley (Fightzone) vs. Dan Ferrer (Team Santos)
Ferrer opens up with some big punches that mostly glance off; he lands a leg kick before shooting. Greeley defends the takedown in the corner; Ferrer picks up Greeley and slams him down into side mount. Greeley established a butterfly guard; Ferrer stands and lands a big left hand, falling fight into a triangle. Ferrer spends well over a minute in the triangle, while Greeley lands some right hands from the bottom, not with a whole lot of effect. Just as it looked like Ferrer had lost all his steam, Greeley lets up on the triangle; Ferrer immediately passes to side mount. Greeley establishes half guard; Ferrer gets posture and throws some big rights, falling back into Greeley’s guard. Ferrer unloads with lefts hands as Greeley attempts an armbar, eating at least a dozen left hands for his effort. Greeley goes for a kneebar; Ferrer sinks his weight down to defend. Ferrer lands a few punches to the body and head as the round ends.
Round two opens with both little guys throwing leather; Ferrer is getting more punches through due to Greeley’s lack of reach. Greeley’s nose is bloodied as Ferrer lands some more rights. Ferrer shoots and Greeley sprawls; the two are caught in the corner when the action is stopped to check Greeley’s nose. After two minutes, the blood is stopped and the fight resumes. The two resume some with some big punches, with Ferrer doing the most damage. Ferrer ducks under a haymaker and shoots; Greeley rolls right through the takedown, and side mounts Ferrer for less than a second before Ferrer attempts a single as Greeley defends. The fight is stopped as Greeley’s nose starts bleeding again – seriously, the boxing commission needs to lighten up on the blood policy.

Dyrel Walker (Team K-9) vs. Cesario de Souza (Dragon Lair)
Walker opens up with some solid kicks and punches that force Souza to shoot; Walker reverses into Souza’s half guard, where he throws some big rights and lefts to the head and body. Souza establishes a spider-like guard, but eats some more punches for his efforts. Walker stands and trades some more; Souza shoots and clinches with double underhooks as Walker defends. He gets the takedown and mounts Walker; Walker reverses into Souza’s guard. Souza immediately attempts an armbar, but gives it up just as quickly, instead focusing on trying to slip Walker’s arm through for a triangle. He succeeds, and locks in the triangle. Inexplicably, he can’t get the tap, and Walker isn’t going out – he toughs it out for several minutes, landing some light punches in the process. Walker eventually stands up and escapes; Souza stands, and looks gassed. Walker lands a nice head kick and some solid punches, avoiding the clinch as round one ends.
Walker lands three hard leg kicks; Souza shoots and gives it up, pulling guard. Souza sits up as Walker stands, getting a double-leg into side mount; following the two being moves away from the ropes, Souza mounts. Walker lands some light rights to the body as Souza just keeps a tight mount. Souza sits up and lands some big right hands to the face and body; Walker rolls Souza, who locks on a tight armbar – I don’t know how the hell he didn’t tap. Souza abandons the submission after a short while and Walker stands up. Souza’s exhaustion is evident as he takes some punches with his hands on his hips; Walker throws a kick and Souza shoots and clinches. The two jockey for position and Souza gets another takedown into mount, landing some hard rights to the body as Walker holds onto his head. Walker rolls into Souza’s guard; Souza looks to be attempting an arm-triangle choke as the round ends. Apparently, the judges were taking a piss break and flipped a coin to decide this one.
Winner: Dyrel Walker
